The university is the coordinator of the Erasmus + project, and partners are SU “Paisii Hilendarski”, National Association of Professionals Working with People with Disabilities, Suluova Sehit Erkan Ayas Meseli Secondary Technical School, Turkey and Phoenix KM. Cortemark, Belgium. The aim of the project is to train teachers, psychologists and resource teachers to support the development, implementation and integration of successful inclusive educational practices.
Teachers are the most effective ambassadors of inclusive education. After the trainings, they will have knowledge and skills in managing diversity in the classroom and will offer strategies to promote inclusive practices in general education schools. They will work towards building school communities, they will be able to create motivating learning materials aimed at the individual needs of each student, explain the project coordinators from the University of Plovdiv.
